The five defendants accused of abuse, neglect and murder in the apparent starvation death of a 7-year-old Fort Lauderdale boy were in court Monday morning as the criminal cases started to take shape. Four of the defendants, including the mother of victim Deonte Atwell, are represented by attorneys who entered not guilty pleas and said they would be asking for bail to be set at a later date.
