Hurricanes move into AP poll top 10 after beating FAMU

For the first time since 2020, the Miami Hurricanes are a top-10 team in the nation.

After beating Florida A&M on Saturday, Miami moved from No. 12 to No. 10 in the Associated Press Poll. The last time UM was in the top 10 was on Dec. 6, 2020 when the Hurricanes were ranked ninth.

Miami got some help in this week’s rankings from some top teams getting beaten. Northern Illinois upset previous No. 5 Notre Dame, which knocked the Fighting Irish down to No. 18. No. 10 Michigan lost to No. 2 Texas, as well.

The Hurricanes also moved to No. 6 in the FWAA-NFF Super 16, which is their highest ranking since 2017. They moved up three spots to No. 12 in the USA Today coaches poll, as well.
