A 26-year-old woman died in the hospital Tuesday, deputies say, a week after she drove her car into a lake in Boynton Beach.
Cing Dim, of Pembroke Pines, was heading south through the parking lot of 11211 S. Military Trail on March 5 just after midnight when she drove her Hyundai Sonata over the curb and off the road, before veering into a lake, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office media release.
Dim had alcohol or drugs in her system at the time of the crash, the release said.
She called out for help as the car sank into the water, the release said. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue removed her from the car and took her to Bethesda West Hospital for her injuries.
After a week in the hospital, she was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon.
