‘Aquaman’ Jason Momoa coming to South Florida to promote his vodka: Here’s how you can meet him

Aquaman is diving into a new liquid these days.

Actor Jason Momoa is expected to visit South Florida next week to promote the premium vodka brand Meili that he cofounded with friend and entrepreneur Blaine Halvorson.

The pair will meet fans (age 21 and up), take photos and sign bottles at two locations:

  • 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, 3355 N. Federal Highway, Oakland Park
  • 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Total Wine & More, 2750 SW 27th Terrace, No. 201, Miami

Fans have been lining up for Meili Vodka Revolution Tour stops around the country to meet Momoa, the 44-year-old actor also known for his roles in “Dune” and “Fast X” as well as in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”

Seven years ago, Momoa and Halvorson, CEO of MadeWorn, began their journey to create Meili (pronounced may-lee), a vodka meant to be sipped straight without ice or mixers. While handcrafting their vodka in Bozeman, Mont., their other focus was on sustainability, using 100% post-consumer recycled glass, a regenerative water source and grain from locally sourced farms, according to the brand’s website. Meili was launched last year in Southern California.

“We’ve always shared an obsession with the process, the craft — the ethos behind it all. How something is constructed and what makes it unique. A creation that possessed the best elements of each of us,” Momoa and Halvorson say on the Meili website.

Admission is free, on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit meilivodka.com.
