Temps will drop into 50s overnight this week in South Florida. Here’s what to expect.

South Florida faces another cooldown this week, with overnight temperatures dropping into the low 60s — and then the low 50s.

After the region sees a drop into the mid-60s overnight Monday, it will continue to cool into Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, with temperatures in northern Palm Beach County dropping into the low 60s and Miami remaining closer to 70, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 73, then on Wednesday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 54, the weather service said.

Winds could gust to 18 mph on Wednesday night into Thursday morning, bringing wind chill, the most severe of which will be in interior regions west of Lake Okeechobee, where the temperature could feel like the mid-30s.

Thursday morning will see temperatures just north of Lake Okeechobee reaching the mid-40s, while areas south of the lake will remain in the low-50s. Tallahassee could drop as low as 35 degrees.

By Friday morning, a warming trend will bring South Florida nighttime temperatures back up to the mid-60s.

Skies will be partly cloudy throughout, with daytime temperatures reaching the low- to mid-70s. Weekend forecasts call for possible showers, though it’s by no means certain.
