The Hurricanes expect All-American safety Kamren Kinchens to return to the field this week after missing two games following a scary injury against Texas A&M.
“He’s good to go, Joe,” Miami coach Mario Cristobal said on WQAM’s The Joe Rose Show. “He’s ready to roll.”
Kinchens left the game against the Aggies on Sept. 9 on a stretcher and was quickly taken to the hospital. Fortunately, he was released the following day.
Kinchens has 10 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery in two games this year. Last season, Kinchens led the Hurricanes with 59 tackles and tied for second in the nation with six interceptions. He also had one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
No. 17 Miami (4-0) begins its ACC schedule on Saturday against Georgia Tech (2-3) at 8 p.m. at Hard Rock Stadium. The Yellow Jackets are coming off an upset loss to Bowling Green.
