“Quite frankly, if you look at some of the recommendations, I mean, they did not want schools open,” DeSantis said. “You go back six months, some of those task force folks were saying, ‘Oh, we don’t know, we didn’t know [if it was safe].’ We knew six months ago, based on the observed experience and the data and evidence out of Europe, that schools were safe.”
