Senate Democratic Leader Gary Farmer isn’t attending the reception this year and doesn’t know of any Democratic senators who plan to go, said Michelle DeMarco, a spokeswoman for the Senate Democratic Office. Jackson Peel, a spokesman for the House Democratic Office, said he hasn’t polled Democratic House members but expects most will not attend.
