“Our investigation has determined that the cause of the explosion was an open natural gas valve but the source of that open valve is undetermined to date,” said Alecia Collins, press secretary for the Florida Department of Financial Services, in an email Tuesday. “This investigation is closed but can be reopened if more information is brought forth.”
