All Florida schools close for two weeks as coronavirus spreads

Florida was not the first to close its schools. Twelve other states — Louisiana, Maryland, Ohio, Oregon, New Mexico, Michigan, Virginia and West Virginia, among others — have taken similar action, as have large urban districts including Atlanta, San Francisco, Denver, Seattle and Washington, D.C.
