Sharks Name Logan Thrailkill as Coordinator of Digital Media and Graphic Design

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Maintaining the steady tradition of exceptional creative communicators in the Nova Southeastern University athletic department, the Sharks again bolster their digital media efforts in athletic communications and marketing with the announcement that Logan Thrailkill has been named Coordinator of Digital Media and Graphic Design after a national search. He will begin his work with the Sharks this month.

“I am excited to be part of such an esteemed university and I look forward to continuing the legacy of innovative content production, while further pushing the limit,” Thrailkill said.

Thrailkill comes to the Sharks fresh off a 10-month stint as an Event Presentation and Production Assistant with the Kansas City Royals. While in Kansas City, Thrailkill provided oversight of game day content for the in-stadium CrownVision and LED boards, shot and produced videos and also developed motion graphics throughout the season. In addition, he created numerous graphic collateral packages for the franchise’s theme nights, shot and versioned elements for Tailgate of the Game, Emoji Decoder and Search Bar Shakedown, as well as pre-producing segments for Royals Countdown.

Prior to his move to Missouri, Thrailkill served four years as a student intern for 12th Man Productions at his alma mater, Texas A&M. His work with the Aggies fostered a variety of multimedia skills working in a remarkably diverse creative media environment that included broadcast productions, in-stadium media, social media and creative recruiting content, in addition to daily team coverage. Thrailkill held roles as a videographer for Texas A&M football’s “The Pulse”, student producer for Aggie baseball and softball, associate director for live events on the SEC Network and live replay operator for SEC Network and in-stadium replay at Kyle Field.

An active member of MLC Connect over the past two years, he served the national athletics creative organization as an administration volunteer, assisting in producing the national conference.

Thrailkill earned his undergraduate degree in Agricultural Leadership with a minor in Digital Media from Texas A&M in 2018. While on campus, he was an infielder and pitcher for TAMU’s National Club Baseball Association team – also providing team graphics for the squad. In addition, he utilized his skillset as a graphic designer and photographer for College Depot early in his college career.

“We are ecstatic to have Logan on board to build on the momentum established by our creative team,” Assistant Athletic Director for Communications, Digital Strategy and Marketing Michael Stambaugh said. “Not only does he provide us with a well-rounded skillset in videography and production, photography, motion graphics and graphic design, but his personable and detailed approach to creative media will allow the Sharks to again reach another level in multimedia content development.”

The creative output from Thrailkill and the Sharks creative team will appear on video displays in NSU Athletics venues, as well as on Sharks social media.
