As of mid-day Friday, 15 Broward County nursing facilities awaited temporary generators to be delivered and 21 had temporary generators in place. At this time, no senior facilities in Broward County plan to evacuate should they lose power. The Agency for Health Care Administration has not made it clear whether there is a deadline or enforcement plan in place for those nursing homes and assisted care facilities that lack generators or evacuation plans prior to the potential arrival of Hurricane Dorian.
