The motorcyclist linked to the shooting, Kadel Piedrahita, was taken into police custody. Piedrahita, 41, was eventually released from custody as investigators try to piece together what happened during the deadly confrontation. His attorney Sabino Jauregui did not return messages for comment Thursday.
