In addition to the daily toll from gun violence, Floridians are familiar with mass shootings, including 17 people were killed and 17 injured in Parkland on Feb, 14, 2018, five were killed in the Jan. 6, 2017, shooting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and 49 were killed at Pulse nightclub in Orlando on June 12, 2016.
