In most other developed nations, the government is responsible for setting these prices and follows a single payer model. Although this model goes against our traditional American values of a free-market economy and our capitalistic nature, as we continue to see problems arise within our healthcare system, it truly makes me wonder if we are making a mistake by not adopting a different healthcare model.
