BMW makes unexpected restaurant ‘entrée’

Sedan is not on the menu at Kevin’s Sushi and Thai Restaurant in Deerfield Beach.

But one made a surprising appearance Monday evening — April 1st — no fooling.

It was just after 6:30 p.m. when rescuers were called to the scene at 706 S. Federal Hwy. after a BMW drove into the restaurant and came to a rest in the dining area — it’s front end tucked under the counter where patrons typically dine on gourmet salmon rolls, tuna tar tar, sushi boats and other menu items.

“When firefighters arrived, they met with the female driver of the silver BMW involved in the accident, but she denied any injuries. None of the customers in the building were injured,” said Battalion Chief Michael Kane, spokesman for Broward Sheriff’ Fire Rescue.
