A man who exposed himself to a teenage girl in Pembroke Pines apparently videotaped the encounter on his cellphone.
The 17-year-old girl was walking home after leaving her school bus stop near the 2000 block of North Douglas Road shortly before 3:15 Friday when the incident happened.
According to police, the man who is thought to be in his 40s, stopped the “Wrangler-type” Jeep he was driving close to the teen where he “interacted with the juvenile.”
He pulled down the shorts he was wearing and exposed himself to the girl while holding a smartphone and seeming to record what happened, police said.
The man didn’t touch the teen and when he drove away, she called 911.
The only description police have besides his estimated age is that he has short gray hair and a gray/black beard and, at the time of the incident, was wearing a short sleeved T-shirt and gray gym shorts. Additionally, at least one of the Jeep’s body panels may be gray.
Investigators were hoping to release a sketch of what the man looked like but, on Saturday evening, said not enough descriptive information was available.
Police ask anyone who may have seen what happened or has information about the man or his vehicle to contact Pembroke Pines police at 954-431-2200, email tips to the agency at tips@ppines.com or contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org.
