Voters give Hollywood green light to borrow $165 million

A new police headquarters, better parks and higher sea walls are in Hollywood’s future, thanks to voters who approved a $165 million borrowing plan Tuesday. The driver who struck a 60-year-old pedestrian who later died from his injuries my not have realized someone was hit, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office. A 19-year-old woman was killed Sunday in a violent early morning car crash in Deerfield Beach that left four people hospitalized in intensive care, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
