Father’s Day is coming up: Here’s a list of restaurant (and drink!) specials

Whatever you do, don’t pop-crastinate any longer.

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 18, and a papi-lar (see what we did there?) gift would be a little daddy dining. So, in no particular order, here’s an insider’s guide to restaurant specials in Palm Beach and Broward counties.

Remember, the prices do not include taxes and gratuities. Also, keep checking back in with this post as we might add more to the list later on. And have a happy Pater-day …. no, we’re not giving up on trying to make that a thing.

For Father’s Day Weekend, Kapow is serving Old Fashioned cocktails inspired by famous TV dads Ted Lasso, Homer Simpson, Peter Griffin and Minato Namikaze ($15). Also, each cocktail comes with a single ice cube featuring the face of one of these TV father figures.

• Ted Lasso: “The Only Way Ted Likes Tea” (because Lasso calls tea “garbage water”) — made with Monkey Shoulder whiskey, genmaicha tea syrup and Earl Grey bitters, and served with an English biscuit
• Homer Simpson: “My Only Vice” (since Simpson says, “Coffee is my only vice. Well, that and donuts. And beer. And … “) — made with Papa’s Pilar dark rum, maple syrup, Subculture Coffee and Dugan & Dame’s Morning Wood Cocktail Bitters, and served with a doughnut garnish
• Peter Griffin: “Shut Up, Meg” (from an episode where Griffin visited Mexico and had to drink well water to save Meg and the liquid was actually mezcal) — made with Montelobos Mezcal, Espolòn Reposado and orange bitters
• Minato Namikaze: “OYAJI” (Japanese word roughly meaning “Old Man,” as a tribute to the father from the “Naruto” anime series who sacrifices everything for his newborn son) — made with Toki whiskey, kokuto sugar and Aromatic Bitters

This beach boîte on the sands behind Plunge Beach Resort will honor Father’s Day with specials of daddy-day-only BBQ Ribs ($15) and Pulled Pork Sandwich ($10). There will also be some daddy deals, such as a hot dog for $8 (usually $12) and a hamburger or chicken sandwich for $10 (usually $15). Order an Old Fashioned cocktail for $10 or beer for $5.

Cornell Cafe at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens

This pan-Asian restaurant overlooking the lake and gardens, will offer a Father’s Day special Tuna Poke Bowl with marinated ahi tuna, plus edamame, avocado, Wakame Seaweed Salad, pickled carrots, sesame seeds, spicy mayo, served over Seasoned Sushi Rice for $16. Museum admission is required to visit the restaurant.

Pieology Pizzeria

All Father’s Day weekend, this Mediterranean restaurant from Memphis Garrett’s hospitality group will have a special entree of a 16-ounce Prime Ribeye Steak served with Aleppo Buttered Shrimp, Peppercorn Sauce and Grilled Vegetables ($75). They are also featuring a Pecan-Infused Bourbon Old Fashioned made with Redemption Bourbon for $18.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill

Carrabba’s restaurants are offering dads a surf ‘n’ turf special: Tuscan-Grilled Filet (or Ribeye) with Lobster Ravioli now through June 18 for $35.99. For pops who need to celebrate early, the restaurants will also host Aged-to-Perfection Bourbon Pairing Dinner Experiences on Wednesday, June 14, starting at 6:30 p.m. for $65 a person.

Ramen Lab Eatery

Ramen Lab Eatery locations (with the exception of the one in West Palm Beach) will be offering a Japanese beer flight featuring Sapporo, Sapporo Black, Kirin Ichiban, Hitachino White Ale and Hitachino Yuzu Lager for $15.

Also, Lemongrass Hospitality — which owns Ramen Lab, Lemongrass Asian Bistro, The Sea Kitchen, Ganzo Sushi and Eat District —  has a special gift card offer for you to give Dad: When you purchase a $50 gift card, you receive an additional $10 gift card (or can ask for the $10 to be added to the $50 gift card). For brunch

For dinner:

Father’s Day means a surf-and-turf offer for both lunch and dinner from this restaurant on the style isle:

This restaurant inside the Norton Museum of Art will have a specialty cocktail for brunch and lunch service: the Smoky Old Fashioned, made with Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Demerara Simple, Angostura and Black Walnut Bitters, and garnished with a Amarena Cherry ($15).

On Father’s Day, for brunch service (11 a.m.-3 p.m.) and dinner service (5:30-9 p.m.), this oceanside restaurant next to the Auberge Beach Residences and Spa will offer specials: Wagyu Beef Tartar ($32); Prime Delmonico Ribeye ($80) and a Dark Chocolate Cigar with chocolate mousse and white chocolate gelato “ashtray” ($18). The regular brunch and dinner menus will also be available. The drink special will be a classic cherrywood-smoked Old Fashioned made with Macallan 12-year Sherry Oak, Amaro Montenegro and Demerara, orange bitters and a burnt Candied Orange Garnish.

This restaurant at The Seagate Hotel & Spa will have executive chef Glenn Rogers’ à la carte brunch along with a Father’s Day special dish of Steak and Eggs ($26) with Skirt Steak Hash and Fried Egg. Also, all dads receive a free Funky Buddha Floridian beer cocktail during brunch and dinner on Father’s Day. Father’s Day Brunch hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dinner hours are 5 to 10 p.m.
