Weekend things to do: Delray St. Patrick’s Day, rock royalty from Dublin, doublin’ down on corned beef

After a trial run in some South Florida cities last weekend, we’re getting serious about St. Patrick’s Day traditions, with Delray Beach’s iconic parade and festival on Saturday, a concert from Dublin rock band Inhaler (with Bono’s son on vocals and guitar) and corned beef out the o’wazoo. Let’s get into it …

Thursday

Juke box heroes: Newly inducted Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner will kick off a 2025 leg of their extended farewell tour on Thursday at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood. The current iteration of Foreigner lacks any of its original members, as band leader Mick Jones has stepped away due to his battle with Parkinson’s disease. Nevertheless, the band ended 2024 with eight sold-out performances at the Venetian in Las Vegas, when founding keyboardist Al Greenwood and former bassist Rick Wills sat in. In an Instagram post, Foreigner suggested such cameos by original band members would continue during the tour. A handful of tickets are available for the Hard Rock show, starting at $60+. Visit MyHRL.com.

Mane event: The touring Broadway production of Tony-winning musical “The Lion King” is at the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, with weekend performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Performances continue through March 30. Tickets start at $45+ at BrowardCenter.org.
