A guide to farmers’ markets: Day or night, year-round or seasonal, there’s an outdoor market for you in South Florida

Outdoor markets in South Florida are serving a side of fresh air along with fresh produce, flowers, baked goods and juices, among other locally grown, made and sourced items this season.

No matter if they’re labeled green, farmers’ or artisans’ markets, the gatherings are a source of one-stop shopping for specialty goods that help patrons kick their cooking up a notch while also supporting small businesses.

For some shoppers, it’s a tradition to take a weekend morning market stroll with a cup of coffee in one hand and a dog leash in the other, browsing vendor booths for everything from a jar of honey to a fragrant bouquet.

But if you’d rather spend your Saturday or Sunday sleeping in, there’s also a weekday market option out there with your name on it. Night owls, rejoice! You can leave your sunglasses at home for these events that pop up in the evenings.

Below, you’ll find our city-by-city guide to all types of free outdoor markets — year-round, seasonal, day or night — in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
