2019 ‘College Colors Day’ Encourages Sharks to Show Their Colors

FORT LAUDERDALE – With the Sharks opening up the 2019-20 season on Friday as the cross country teams travel to Boca Raton, Nova Southeastern Athletics encourages alumni and fans everywhere to show that their college colors never fade by wearing their favorite college gear on College Colors Day, which is also scheduled for Friday, August 30.

The 15th annual College Colors Day, which was created by collegiate licensing leader CLC, is a national holiday that gives the more than 185 million college fans across the country a dedicated day to showcase their unmatched passion and spirit while sharing their pride on social media using the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay.

To make sure you’ve got the latest NSU blue gear, NSU Athletics encourages fans to visit either the NSU University Bookstore, which is open 8:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. M-F, or the NSU Shark Store in the Don Taft University Center. Another great location to get the latest Sharks gear is online at the NSU Sharks Sideline Store.

This year’s celebration is themed “Never Fade.” Fans are invited to visit www.CollegeColorsDay.com, which provides fans with the opportunity to enter for the chance to win a variety of prizes, including two tickets and a trip to the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship Game in New Orleans thanks to CLC’s partnership with the CFP, and its charitable arm, Extra Yard for Teachers.

The excitement, the unpredictability, the chills, the heroes, the unbelievable wins and the heartbreaking losses – college fans show up for it all.
