Review: Bombay Darbar brings some new flavor (Indian) to Las Olas

Tandoori lamb chops ($23.95), marinated in sour cream and coated in spices, came on a sizzling tray with onions after being cooked in a clay oven. Tandoori chicken wings ($5.95), an appetizer, were also juicy and spice-rubbed. South Florida flavor was spotlighted with a pleasingly sweet-hot mango chicken curry ($17.95). Dal tadka ($12.95), yellow lentils with garlic, mustard seeds and cumin, was thin and soupy but flavorful. Saag gosht, lamb with spinach and spices ($18.95), was deep, rich and powerful. Butter chicken ($17.95), ordered spicy, was smooth and velvety and packed a mean punch, with crunchy slivers of sliced almond for crunch.
