A worker at an Oakland Park massage parlor was killed Thursday and detectives want to speak with the man they believe was the last customer to see her alive, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
A coworker at Bing Bing Spa discovered the unresponsive body of Daying Li, 45, at about 10:43 p.m., said Keyla Concepcion, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
“Arriving deputies confirmed the woman had in fact been murdered,” Concepcion said.
How Li was killed was not disclosed.
The spa’s hours are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.
A woman who answered the phone Friday at Bing Bing Spa, at 771 W. Oakland Park Blvd., immediately east of Powerline Road, said she spoke only Chinese, not English.
Detectives investigating Li’s homicide on Friday released surveillance images of “a possible customer who might have last seen the victim alive,” Concepcion said.
He was balding from the forehead to the middle of his head and had dark curly hair and a dark mustache. The man wore a bright blue dashiki, a West African tunic-like garment, with white and gold detailing, dark pants and dark sneakers.
“They’re asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the man as he might have information that could aid in the investigation,” Concepcion said.
Li lived in Boca Raton in a condominium complex at 5700 NW Second Ave., north of Yamato Road and west of North Dixie Highway, according to the sheriff’s office.
