Dominic Michael Pryce was only half responsible for a deadly collision in Lauderhill more than two years ago, according to traffic homicide investigators, but he is now facing several charges including DUI manslaughter because of it, court records show.
Natalie Pinto was driving north on Northwest 31st Avenue approaching 19th Street about 4:28 a.m. on Sept. 11, 2016, when she made a right turn from the left lane into the path of a northbound 2007 Toyota Camry that Pryce was driving, investigators said.
Pryce, then-21, was traveling an estimated 75 mph in a 35 mph zone when he struck Pinto’s car, killing her and seriously injuring himself and two passengers in the Toyota, police said.
Blood was drawn at the hospital and his blood alcohol level was .088, which is above the legal limit of .08, investigators said.
“Both suspect Dominic Pryce and victim Natalie Pinto contributed to the cause of this traffic crash,” the police report stated.
Both cars were totally destroyed in the collision.
Pryce was arrested Thursday on charges that included DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide, DUI causing serious bodily injury, and reckless driving, records show.
He was scheduled to make his first court appearance Friday.
