“We’ll have dozens of hiring companies trying to fill hundreds of tech positions here in South Florida,” said Kelly Boyle, South Florida Technology Alliance board member and chair of the event. She said the event is both for mid-career professionals and those coming out of college or code school.
In 2018, both jobs and salaries increased in South Florida’s technology industry, according to a survey of 200 tech professionals by the Alliance.
In November 2018, 91 percent of South Florida employers said they planned to hire tech professionals. On salaries, 77 percent of respondents said their pay had increased for IT positions, compared with 57 percent in 2017.
The South Florida Technology Alliance is a 19-year-old organization that promotes the growth, success, and awareness of the regional technology community through events, networking, programs and education.
CareerSource Broward, the county’s employment agency, is co-hosting the hiring event.
