One of the best things about South Florida is that our subtropical climate means that we can have festival fun just about all year long.

WHAT: For the fifth year, the Hallandale Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is staging this culinary celebration featuring 28 restaurants offering limited-time-only, prix-fixe menus, chef-curated dishes and signature lite bites.

WARRENPALOOZA
WHAT: The third annual WarrenPalooza will feature a dunk tank, bounce house, basketball and soccer games, live DJ, raffles/auctions and a magic show. Also, kids can get free back-to-school haircuts, and adults can enjoy a special menu of cocktails. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Play for Blake Foundation.

ROCK THE PLAZA
WHAT: This edition of the concert series put on by the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency will spotlight the band Rogue Theory. In addition to food and beverages sold at Ocean Palm Plaza’s restaurants and eateries, some businesses will offer free samples. There will also be Business Bingo and Boynton Beach Bucks deals/discounts.

A TASTE OF TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
WHAT: Celebrating the Caribbean nation’s culture, music and cuisine, this event will feature singer Shelly Sweetshells, FyaHeart Entertainment, Lauderhill Steel Ensemble, Miami Carnival, Karnival Bounce Crew, Tassa drumming, JayaDevi Arts and more. There will also be free samples from restaurants and food vendors including Joy’s Roti Delight, Tabanka and Singh’s Roti Delight.

SUMMERFEST! WEST PALM BEACH
WHAT: The 20-acre Mounts Botanical Garden, with its lush tropical walking trails, will host SummerFest with live entertainment, kids’ activities, food for purchase and more. Here’s the lineup:
- All day — arts and crafts, face painter, entertainers, lawn games and local food and beverage vendors
- 10. a.m.-2 p.m. — Classic Car Show by Russ G Events & Classic Cars
- 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. — Busch Wildlife Sanctuary Encounter (ecology, urban wildlife, natural history, endangered species)
- 11 a.m.-2 p.m. — Live Latin entertainment by Flavio Amador & The Playtime Band (merengue, bachata, pop and urban genres)
- 2-4 p.m. — Children’s author Veronica Green with an Activity & Book Signing of “The Earth Fairy”
WHEN: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30
WHERE: Mounts Botanical Garden, 531 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach
COST: Advance purchase is $20 for adults and $5 for children younger than 17. On-site tickets are $25 for adults and $13 for children. Admission is free for Mounts members and children younger than 6.
