Remember how great the weather was last weekend? Well, according to my sources among the meteorologists at Univision, this weekend is shaping up to be even better. There are plenty of ways to enjoy it, from the sprawling Delray Affair and Dania After Dark’s Blues & BBQ Festival to the West Palm Beach Green Market (season’s about to end!) and the debut of a new rooftop cocktail bar on Fort Lauderdale beach called Nubé. Oh, and it’s opening weekend for “Hamilton” at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. Let’s go …
THURSDAY
Another shot: The nationally touring production of “Hamilton” set up this week at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in downtown West Palm Beach, with 14 performances through April 21. The hip-hop retelling of the founding of the nation is a cultural phenomenon, of course, but it’s also extremely creative and entertaining, with more laughs than you might expect. Shows on opening weekend are scheduled at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets start at $49, with many levels sold out. Seats are more plentiful for performances later in the run. Visit Kravis.org.
Sound machines: “On Your Feet!,” the musical based on the lives of Grammy-winning pop and Latin-music icons Emilio and Gloria Estefan is at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood for performances at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 1 and 8 p.m. Saturday. Good vibes: Country singer Chris Janson plays The Stage At Coco Outdoors at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek at 8 p.m. Thursday, bringing with him a soundtrack that has always married well with the sunny atmosphere of South Florida. Pompano love: The “Love Always, Pompano Beach” campaign returned last week, offering deals at local restaurants and bars, hotel and spa packages, and exclusive discounts on activities at venues including Topgolf Pompano Beach, Hola Mundo Beach and Surf Camp, American Watersports and more. To claim the discount at a participating business, say “Love Always, Pompano” when ordering or booking. The campaign, open to locals and visitors alike, runs through Aug. 31. High on the beach: South Florida’s newest glamorous room with a view, Nubé is an oceanfront rooftop cocktail bar opening Friday on the 26th floor terrace of the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. It comes courtesy of The Restaurant People, who know how to do these things. (See Rooftop @1WLO in downtown Fort Lauderdale and Miami rooftops Rosa Sky and Giselle.) They are not new to this, so it is not pronounced “NEW-bee,” and certainly not “noob.” The Spanish word for cloud, Nubé is pronounced NEW-bae. Like a new girlfriend. Ticket window: Hip-hop pioneer Missy Elliott will bring her first headline tour, Out of This World — The Missy Elliott Experience to Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on July 25. The poignant surfing documentary “Through the Doggy Door” will be shown at sundown. It’s BYO beach chair. Visit Instagram.com/bcsurfandsport.
Weekend laughs: Comedian Pete Holmes has a smart podcast, “You Made It Weird,” which is entertaining for several reasons, including that he gets great guests (recently actor John C. Reilly). It’s so good that I can forgive him for telling people on Instagram that he is performing this weekend at the Duh-NEE-yuh Improv. Which you know as the Dania Improv. Holmes (pronounced HOLE-mess) has shows at 7:30 and 10 p.m. Friday and 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets cost $30+. Visit DaniaImprov.com.
Burger love: The lovable Miami Marlins return to loanDepot Park to face the unlovable Atlanta Braves for a weekend series that includes a variety of deals: $5 beer for Fiesta Friday during the 7:10 p.m. game, Beerfest for Saturday’s 4:10 p.m. game, and a bucket hat giveaway at Sunday’s game at 1:40 p.m. game. My favorite is the Burger & Beer promotion on Friday, which includes a ticket to the game, a smash burger and a beer for $30. Thank you, Jake Burger! Visit Marlins.com.
SATURDAY
Mudbugging out: As if you couldn’t tell from her, uh, attitude, Virginia Sinicki from “The KVJ Show” on 97.9 WRMF grew up in New Orleans and will have her stamp all over the annual Cajun Crawfish & Music Festival, which she’ll host this weekend in Jupiter. Expect mudbugs, muffuletta, beignets and her specialty Champagne Hurricane, plus music by J.P. Soars & The Red Hots, Rockin’ Jake, the Orchid City Brass Band and Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers, among others. At 5 p.m., brewery founders Ryan and KC Sentz will take on the death-defying wings while answering fan-submitted questions (submit your question here), a session to be hosted by Channing Crowder and Marc Hochman of afternoon-drive sports talk show “Hochman & Crowder” on 560 WQAM. Take the kids: The Ben, the stylish waterfront boutique hotel in downtown West Palm Beach, will host another character-themed, costumed brunch on Saturday, this one inspired by the film “Encanto.” Brunch starts at 9 a.m., with meet-and-greets with characters Isabela, Mirabel and Bruno from 10 to 11 a.m. Adult brunch costs $95+ and includes an elevated brunch buffet, an unlimited bellini, mimosa and Bloody Mary bar, and valet for one vehicle. Children age 12 and younger, who are encouraged to dress the part, get a kid-friendly brunch buffet, themed desserts, the meet-and-greet and story time for $35+. Future character brunch events include “Frozen” (May 11) and Mickey Mouse (June 22). Visit Facebook.com/thebenwestpalm.
SUNDAY

New brunch: If you are looking to raise your brunch game, Pink Steak in West Palm Beach (which opened in December at 2777 S. Dixie Highway) this weekend will formally debut its new Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. As you might expect from owner and chef Julien Gremaud and executive chef Aaron Black, the menu is top-shelf. Your meal can begin with Royal Ossetra Caviar Service ($149), while entrees range from the Smoked Salmon Carpaccio ($29) and Maine Lobster and Seafood Risotto ($58) to the 32-ounce Wagyu tomahawk steak ($235). Visit PinkSteak.com.
’80s brunch: The best version of the music-oriented Bingo & Brunch each Sunday at Crazy Uncle Mike’s in Boca Raton is the ’80s version (sure, we can debate it) that is happening this weekend. Brunch service starts at noon and music bingo, hosted by DJ Gio Black, starts at 1 p.m. It’s free and there are prizes. What’s the (a la carte) brunch menu like? May I interest you in the Fried Chicken & Sweet Potato Pancakes, with spicy gochujang maple butter and maple syrup ($17)? That’s how they roll. Women get a free bottle of bubbly with purchase of an entree. Visit CrazyUncleMikes.com.
