It’s eggs-traordinary! Find Easter egg hunts in South Florida as early as this weekend, plus plan your photos with the Bunny

Get out your baskets and bonnets, Easter is on the way.

The spring holiday this year falls on March 31, but South Florida gets hopping this weekend with all manner of activities and celebrations.

For example, it’s already off to the races for kids who want to collect as many colorful plastic eggs as possible, with traditional egg hunts being organized at city parks and sports complexes.

Looking for indoor fun instead? Splash around at an aquatic egg hunt at the YMCA pool in Lake Worth Beach, or participate in egg-centered engineering challenges at the Museum of Discovery & Science in Fort Lauderdale.

Want photos instead of egg hunts? Throw on your Sunday best for pictures with the Easter Bunny, who has bounced into a mall near you for the season. (A handy tip for parents: Take advantage of online reservations, so your time doesn’t end up lost down the rabbit hole.)

Whatever you decide to do, here’s our city-by-city guide to events happening over the next two weekends throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties.
