Trump wins Florida, thanks to Miami-Dade

By early afternoon, Broward County had broken the 71.6% turnout of the 2016 election. Before 3:45 p.m., with more than three hours until the polls closed, Broward surpassed its 73.4% turnout from the historic 2008 election when Obama won his first term in office. By the time all ballots were counted, Broward’s turnout hit 75.2%. There are more registered voters now, so that percentage means many more ballots cast — 953,310 — than the 843,767 in 2016.
