Reward in disappearance of Margate girl not seen since June increased to $10,000

The reward for information that leads to an arrest in the disappearance of 10-year-old Gabrielle “Gabby” Terrelonge, who hasn’t been seen since June, has increased to $10,000, Broward County Crime Stoppers announced Friday.

Gabby’s father reported her disappearance to Margate Police on Oct. 29 after discovering that Passha Davis, the girl’s mother and caretaker, had been arrested days earlier. When Davis was arrested on Oct. 17 on charges of stealing from a Dollar Tree, there was no mention of her daughter being with her in the arrest report.

Gabby and Davis were last seen together on June 30 getting off of a Greyhound bus in Orlando at the Florida Mall, according to the Crime Stoppers flyer.

Davis faces one count of child neglect without great bodily harm and remained in the Broward Main Jail on Friday.

Detectives met with Davis in the jail two days after Gabby’s father reported her disappearance. She told them she didn’t know where her daughter was and that she should be with her father, a probable cause affidavit said. But Gabby’s father said he hadn’t seen the girl since May.

Gabby and her mother were homeless in different parts of Broward County in the months leading up to her disappearance, the girl’s aunt Monique Gordon previously told the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Their transience often made it difficult for relatives to find where they were or how they were doing, Gordon said.
