Online pet food retailer Chewy has opened another brick-and-mortar vet clinic in Broward County as it continues its market test in the pet medical care industry.
The new location in Coral Springs was opened less than two months after the South Florida-based company opened its first Chewy Vet Care location in Plantation Walk, a mixed-use development on University Drive in Plantation.
The second clinic is located 11 miles north, at 2920 University Drive, in Coral Springs.

Like the Plantation clinic, the Coral Springs location is set up with comfort of pets — and their owners — in mind, with friendly staff members, bright, soothing colors, cushy waiting areas, medical histories displayed on wall-mounted monitors, and free beverages for pet parents and treats for their beloved creatures.
While the clinics have a wide variety of medicines on hand, Chewy’s delivery service can be used to send anything not in stock directly to pet owners’ homes.
Google reviews for the Plantation location have been overwhelmingly positive. Customers praised staff members’ gentle approaches with fearful pets, and their transparency about costs when discussing potential treatments.
The Coral Spring location is one of only six being opened this year in three markets. The others are Denver and Atlanta.
Pet owners can schedule appointments online at chewy.com/vet-care or by calling 754-227-8971. The clinic is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
