A fresh look at W Pompano Beach Hotel and Residences: 24-story tower to break ground next year
The newly unveiled W Pompano Beach Hotel and Residences is part of a wave of luxury development coming to Pompano Beach.
The 24-story beachfront tower, developed by Related Group in collaboration with BH Group and hospitality leader Marriott International, is expected to break ground next year and open in 2029, the developer said this week.

The W will join a growing number of upscale developments in Pompano Beach, a coastal city in the midst of a building boom. Several high-rises are in the pipeline, mainly along the city’s beachfront.
The W’s sleek tower will include 296 condo-hotel suites, 77 luxury residences and nine penthouses.
The condo-hotel sites, ranging from 580 to 1,860 square feet, are priced at $800,000 and above.
Penthouse suites, currently for sale, will range in price from $6.5 million to more than $15 million.
The tower will rise at 20 N. Ocean Drive, at the northeast corner of Atlantic Boulevard and State Road A1A.
Inspired by single-family estates, penthouse floor plans range from 3,250 to over 6,200 square feet, with some residences offering even more expansive layouts that include double master suites and soaring ceilings up to 11 feet.
Crowning the property, three sprawling Premier Penthouses each have their own private rooftop terrace with more than 2,800 square feet of space along with climate-controlled lounges and state-of-the-art summer kitchens.
“With these penthouses, we set out to create something extraordinary — residences that match the energy of the W brand and simultaneously push far, far beyond any home ever seen in this market,” said Nick Perez, president of Related’s Condominium Development Group. “This is a rare opportunity to own Pompano Beach’s residences as it emerges as South Florida’s next premier beachfront destination, at a value that’s impossible to find along South Florida’s waterfront today.”
Residents will have exclusive access to building amenities that include a 12,000-square-foot outdoor pool deck, state-of-the-art fitness center, resident-only lobby and swanky owner’s club lounge.
The full-service luxury W Away Spa features custom treatments, a cold plunge, jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms and full hair and nail services.
Residents also will have access to the hotel’s restaurants, bars and spa.
The W is Related Group’s fourth project in Pompano Beach. The firm’s other three projects include the Solemar at 1116 N. Ocean Blvd., Casamar at 900 N. Ocean Blvd., and the Waldorf Astoria Residences.
The Waldorf, a 92-unit beachfront condo tower, is expected to open in 2027.
