The Boca Raton Garden Club has a spring season blooming with events to support its initiatives that provide scholarships and junior gardening programs for students, and garden therapy for older adults at Florida Atlantic University’s Memory and Wellness Center.
The fundraisers also help send students and counselors from Boca Raton schools to Wekiva Youth Camp in Apopka each year.
All events take place at the Boca Raton Garden Club’s clubhouse and gardens, 4281 NW Third Ave., in Boca Raton. Visit bocaratongardenclub.org, or call 561-395-9376.

Quilt Auction
The Boca Raton Garden Club is partnering with Quilt Guild by the Sea for a Quilt Auction at 3 p.m. April 5.
With more than 100 members, Quilt Guild by the Sea began in 2011 with a group of six women who shared a common interest in quilting, sharing ideas, community service and fellowship.

“We are pleased to be able to showcase some of the work of our very talented members and offer their quilts for auction to the community,” Quilt Guild by the Sea President Linda Eddy said in a statement. “We want to promote the art of quilting as well as raise some money for both organizations’ charities,” which include:
- Comfort quilts donated to patients in nursing homes and cancer treatment centers, coverlets for incubator babies and small “fidget” quilts used to help calm Alzheimer’s patients.
- Quilts of Valor for veterans of all branches of the Armed Forces.
Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Attendees also will receive a free raffle ticket. Visit quiltguildbythesea.com.
