Heavy-hitter lobbyist Ron Book helps Davie snag a bigger share of gambling cash

Davie hired Ron Book, one of Florida’s most prominent lobbyists, in 2016 to go after a higher share of money for the town through the state’s gambling deal, known as a compact. Book’s daughter, Lauren Book, is the Senate Democratic Minority Leader.
