Florida plans to kick sea turtle rescuers off the beach, calling them a threat to environment

Volunteer groups rescue sea turtle hatchlings in Broward County, where many are disoriented by artificial lights. The volunteers catch hatchlings drawn inland by the lights and bring them to the ocean. The Florida wildlife commission wants to end their work, saying their presence on the beach is disruptive to the marine environment. (Sea Turtle Oversight Protection/Courtesy)
