Another summer, another plague of sargassum seaweed on South Florida beaches. Is it keeping you away?

In South Florida, sea turtle nesting takes place at about the same time that great masses of seaweed are washing up on shore, which prevents bulldozing beaches. Signs apologizing for the mats of seaweed and explaining about the turtles have been posted at some beaches, including Red Reef in Boca Raton.
