Millions of Floridians now living without health insurance

Robin A. Cohen from the National Center for Health Statistics said the CDC survey shows while the uninsured rate in Florida has held steady the last two years, there is some evidence that over time the Affordable Care Act has led to more Floridians with health insurance. In 2013, nearly 25 percent of Florida residents under age 65 had no insurance, but that dropped significantly to about 17 percent in 2018.
