The volley of shots can be heard on a home’s security surveillance system as a gunman gets out of a car and begins pumping bullets.
Police Tuesday circulated the video of the drive-by shooter who fired more than a dozen shots at a home on the 7700 block of Meridian Street in Miramar shortly after 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 10.
The home’s security system recorded two incidents that day that detectives believe are linked.
In the shooting, the surveillance video shows a silver-gray Nissan Maxima driving slowly past the house. A man opens the passenger door and up to 15 gunshots are heard.
About an hour earlier, the video showed a white 4-door Nissan Maxima driving the opposite direction and stopping in front of the house. A tall, slim man gets out of the passenger side and walks up to the house. The person is seen wearing tight-fitting gray pants and a dark hoodie with white lettering and a design on the front.
There were no reported injuries in the drive-by shooting but police said bullets hit the house, a neighboring home, a red Chevrolet Caprice Classic and a brown Ford van, shattering a rear window.
Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the person or drive-by vehicles in the video or who has any information about the shooting to contact Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-8477 or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.
