Elaine M. Wallace, D.O., M.S., M.S. ,M.S., and Farzanna Sherene Haffizulla, M.D., FACP, FAMWA, were recently featured in Florida Medical Business Magazine as 2018’s Women in Medicine.

Dr. Wallace is the dean of NSU’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. With her leadership, the Tampa Bay Regional Campus in Clearwater, which will serve as an additional site for the college, has incorporated a strong research component by receiving more than $11 million in research funding and $22.3 million in teaching and training support. Dr. Wallace also recently brought students and physicians to Puerto Rico to help victims of Hurricane Maria.
Dr. Haffizulla serves as the assistant dean for community and global health in NSU’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine. She has helped the newly opened college develop its population health sciences initiative and create mutually beneficial relationships to support physician leaders and advancing one’s health. Dr. Haffizulla is an advocate for women in medicine.
