It’s commencement season, a time for graduates across the nation to reflect and celebrate the culmination of years of studying, testing and hard work.
Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host more than 7,000 graduates during its 2018 commencement ceremonies on its Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus in the Rick Case Arena at the Don Taft University Center (3301 College Ave., Fort Lauderdale).
NSU will award baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees to students in a wide range of fields including business, counseling, computer and information sciences, education, osteopathic medicine, optometry, pharmacy, dentistry, various other health professions, law, marine sciences, psychology, human services and other social sciences.
Over the next few weeks, students, alumni, faculty, staff and guests will hear commencement addresses from inspirational speakers* such as:
- John T. Berry, J.D., Director of The Florida Bar’s Legal Divisions (Thursday, May 10)
- Seth Siegel, J.D., entrepreneur, activist and New York Times bestselling author (Friday, May 18)
- Mark Templeton, former President and CEO of Citrix Systems, Inc. (Friday, June 8)
Tickets are not required, but seating is limited and large groups of guests wishing to sit together should arrive early.
Commencement guests will also have the opportunity to view a live telecast of the ceremony via closed circuit television at three on-campus …read more
